The process spins together an “Intimate Blend” of 80% long staple cotton and 20% merino wool fibres. The perfect blend of these two fibres creates a yarn that brings Viyella fabric its signature combination of durability, unique depth of colour and softness that improves with age making it likely to become your favourite shirt. Viyella was the first branded fabric in the World and the first to be trademarked registered in 1894 and is as desirable today as it was then. Viyella Classic Fit Shirts provide a more generous fit, they are straighter at the side, with a side pleat at the base of the back yoke to give ease of movement in the shoulder region. It has traditional sleeve widths and body hem length with a front placket and chest pocket.
